Last Updated: July 9, 2026 • Trustra Bank Security & Operations

Welcome to Trustra Bank ("we", "us", or "our"). We are committed to protecting your personal data and respecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, store, process, and disclose your personal and financial information when you open an account, use our online banking portal, apply for loans, subscribe to investment plans, or interact with our support services.

1. Information We Collect

To provide premium digital banking, lending, and investment services, we collect several categories of information:

  • Personal Identity Details: First name, last name, date of birth, gender, nationality, residential address, email address, phone number, username, and language/time zone settings.
  • KYC Validation Data: Scanned copies of your international passport, driver's license, or national identity card, document identification numbers, and verification selfies.
  • Government IDs: National Identification Number (NIN) / Social Security Number (SSN) and Bank Verification Number (BVN) where applicable to verify cross-border identities and enforce strict compliance.
  • Financial Transaction Records: Multi-currency wallet ledger records, deposits made via payment processors (such as Stripe), transaction descriptions, recipient account details, statement exports, and billing profiles.
  • Device & Network Metrics: IP addresses, browser agents, operating system, and session security logs to protect against fraudulent activities.

2. How We Use Your Information

We process your data to deliver robust financial operations under the following mandates:

  • Account Management: Operating wallets, executing transfers, generating transaction ledgers, issuing physical/virtual cards, and distributing yields on savings goals.
  • Compliance & KYC Verification: Evaluating identity documents against databases to satisfy Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and Counter-Terrorism Financing (CTF) standards.
  • Customer Support: Facilitating ticket creation, handling guest email verification, and providing active live chat systems with support agents.
  • Referral Programs: Tracking registration referral codes and calculating campaign bonuses.

3. Automated Credit Decision-Making & AI Risk Underwriting

When you apply for credit lines, personal expansion loans, or business scaling capital, Trustra Bank utilizes automated risk underwriting algorithms. This processing evaluates your financial health and yields decision scores:

Disclosure on Automated Underwriting & Risk Tiering

Our underwriting engine computes an AI Risk Score and AI Approval Probability based on your historical transactions, debt-to-income ratio, account history, outstanding balances, and repayment behavior. Your application is assigned a risk tier (such as Prime, Subprime, or others) which determines loan approvals, interest rates (APR), and credit limit caps. If you wish to challenge an automated loan decision, you have the right to request a manual review from our underwriting desk via the Support Portal.

4. Data Storage & Security Controls

We implement state-of-the-art administrative, technical, and physical security measures to safeguard your data:

  • Encryption: Critical data such as card numbers and CVV codes are stored using industry-standard AES-256 encryption. All web communications are secured via TLS.
  • Double Lock MFA Protection: Users can enforce multi-factor authentication (MFA) requiring code validation for session logins and high-value wallet transfers.
  • Granular Card Spending Controls: Our systems support temporary freezing, ATM/POS payment switches, international spending controls, and manual daily/single transaction limit configuration.
  • Audit Logging: All administrative panel activities, adjustment actions, and user logins are captured in secure, tamper-resistant system logs.

5. Data Retention & Sharing

We retain your personal and transaction data for as long as your account remains active or as required by financial regulations and statutes of limitation. We do not sell your personal data. We share information only with:

  • Payment gateways (e.g., Stripe) to authorize card top-ups and deposits.
  • Government and regulatory bodies to comply with legal auditing or reporting duties.
  • Support representatives and systems executing troubleshooting on active support channels.

6. Your Legal Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you hold specific rights regarding your personal data:

  • The right to access, rectify, or request deletion of your profile data.
  • The right to withdraw consent for marketing communications or optional features.
  • The right to request copies of your financial ledgers and transaction statements.

To exercise any of these rights, please submit a request through the Support center or contact our compliance desk at privacy@trustra.biz.
